EverBanyan exists so you can remember someone you loved. That only works if the ground under it is trustworthy. This page says, in plain words, what happens to what you share.
A memorial is built in private, with no account to create. Your draft — the name, the years, the memories — is saved in your own browser first, and from your first edit it is also saved to our server under a private session, where it stays yours and unpublished until you choose to keep it. One honest consequence: clearing your browser’s saved data clears the session that reaches an unkept draft.
Keeping stores, on our server:
Your memorial’s visiting page is unlisted. It has a private link that cannot be guessed, and we ask search engines not to list it. It can appear in search only if you explicitly choose that, separately.
The offline copy you receive is yours completely. It holds your written memories, so treat it as personal. It works without any server — including ours.
If you leave your email on the front page, it is kept for exactly one purpose: the one note we promised. Your consent is recorded with its time. The address rests locked, beside a scrambled marker that cannot be turned back into your address — its only job is to notice if you sign up twice. “Remove my email,” on the same page, removes you — self-service, no questions. Robots that fill the hidden field are never stored at all.
Visits, not people. When you open the page, your browser makes up a meaningless random number, and that is what we count — along with which link brought you here and which page you arrived on. We do not record where you connected from (no IP addresses). We do not record what device or browser you use. And no outside company watches you here: no trackers, no ad tools, nothing on this site loads from anyone else’s servers — even the fonts are our own copies. A link out to X or Instagram may carry a small tag that helps us count arrivals; nothing about you travels with it.
We do not sell or rent anything about you. We do not run ads. We do not share your words, your photos, or your address with anyone except the services that physically make EverBanyan work, named below. No tracking across the web, no profiles, no “partners.”
EverBanyan runs on a single server we operate in Mumbai, India (hosted with Hostinger). Email travels through Private Email, our mailbox provider at Namecheap. When payments open, they will be handled by Razorpay — your card or UPI details will go to Razorpay directly and never touch our server. Until then nothing is charged at all: the first hundred kept memorials are simply free. We keep regular backup copies of what you have kept, held on our own systems.
